At Home Date Night Ideas

About a week ago I had mentioned on Instagram how Bryn and I had started going out on regular date nights again and so many people had commented how they would love to get back into it as well, but haven’t yet. We are lucky to have family that lives really close to us who are able to help out and babysit so we can go out and have our date nights, but not everyone has that available to them, and realistically, by the end of the day, who has the energy to get dressed up and go out on a regular basis?!

Favourite 6-9 Month Baby Products

The past 3 months have brought with it a ton of new changes in our lives and Rhys’ development. Over the last few months he has started crawling, eating solid foods, is learning to feed himself, furniture walking, lots and lots of talking and laughing, and an overall curiosity for everything around him.

Since there has been such a jump in his development there has also been a huge shift in our products we use everyday, so here are our most used baby products from 6-9 months.

I May Be A Motherless Mother, But I Am Not Without My Mom

When I lost my mom, it did not feel like the first time. We had lost her years before she actually passed. She was cursed with a disease which withered her down to an empty vessel. It was long, frustrating, and something I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. By the time I was 18 years old she was no longer the person I once knew. Most of my late memories of her are not actually of her, they are of parts of her, tainted by illness.

Tidying Like A Mother: Marie Kondo KonMari Style!

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past month, you have probably heard about the new Netflix show Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.

With the show coming out right as the new year kicked off, I quickly jumped on Netflix, notebook in hand and ready to learn, and binge watched the show quicker than I would like to admit (2 days.. whoops..). After finishing the series I was left with an insane urge to throw out our entire apartment.

So that is exactly what I did. Sort of.
