Okay, mamas ! A couple weeks back I posted my tips for having great hair day, everyday and a ton of you said you had NOT tried dry shampoo before… my mind was blown.
Valentine’s Day is only a little over two weeks away and if you’re like me, you are more excited for a reason to dress up than you are to actually go anywhere (sorry Bryn).
We have all been there.
It’s 7 am, you haven’t showered in God knows how long, and your hair is a disaster. What do you do?
You throw it up in a bun with the elastic you found under your couch cushion.Continue reading “The “Mom Bun” Ruined My Hair and How You Can Avoid It”
I will be the first to admit I love the look of plump, full lips. But unfortunately, mine are not naturally like that. I also don’t have the courage, or the money, to go get lip fillers done.
So instead, I fake it!
I was born with a head of hair that puts lions manes to shame. It’s curly and unruly, and there is so. much. of. it. Holy, heck.
For a laugh, I have include my grade 8 yearbook photo (pre-styling knowledge) to show just how far I’ve come.

Raise your hand if you love feeling put together, but hate how long it can take (raises both hands, plus feet for added emphasis).
If you are anything like me (and I’m going to guess you are since you’re reading this blog) having your hair down sounds nice in theory, but about 5 minutes in you are ready to put it up. I am running around all day, with a baby who LOVES to pull anything within his reach (e.g. my hair) and I can’t stand having things in my face. It drives me nuts. So I usually end up wearing my hair up in either the mom bun (you know the one you threw up without a mirror with an elastic band you found in the couch cushions) or a basic ponytail. Neither of these hairstyles make me feel good about how I look.
So I have compiled 3 of the quickest, easiest, most flattering, “not so basic” ways to wear your hair up so you can keep your hair out of your face and still feel dolled up!Continue reading ““Not So Basic” Ponytails: Hairstyles You Can Do In 10 Minutes Or Less!”
