How Arbonne’s Advanced Skincare Changed My Skin

Everyone and their mother has heard of Arbonne. After searching online for Arbonne reviews and seeing a ton of hype around Arbonne’s Advanced Prepwork skincare line, I was curious to try it out for myself.

I’ve use nothing but the Arbonne Advanced re9 Prepwork line on my face for the past month, and it has changed my skin!

If you are curious about my first impressions on this line, you can read about it here on this post. I was hesitant about the products originally but wanted to give it a fair shot, since nobody’s skin changes overnight (even if the products claims to do that). I made a routine and stuck to it religiously for 30 days straight, no exceptions. My hope was that by the end of the month I’d have perfectly clear, balanced skin that needed minimal makeup. I know…I like to set the bar reeeeal high.

Here was the routine I followed:

Week 1

The first week, to be honest, I didn’t really notice much of a difference aside from how moisturizing the products were. There was no change in texture, redness, or breakouts.

I did, however, notice a difference in my under eyes. The area’s which had previously been creasing when I put concealer on was no longer as bad! They looked brighter and my fine lines were significantly less noticeable. Dare I say it… I looked… rested (-ish)!

Week 2

I swear, nothing ever goes as planned. This is real life, people!

During the second week, I stopped breastfeeding (not by choice) which threw everything out of whack. My skin was looking pretty good at the beginning of this week, but like I talked about in this post, when you stop breastfeeding your skin goes crazy while the hormones balance out again.

And that was exactly what my skin did.

I had multiple, big, painful breakouts all along my jaw, chin, and forehead. It. Was. Awful. I was really hopeful that the Prepwork would help clear them up faster, but I was a little disappointed when I realized it wasn’t doing much to help combat these breakouts.

That being said, I don’t know what my skin would have done if I wasn’t using this line. Who’s to say the breakouts weren’t minimized by the products! I will say that the area’s of my face that weren’t breaking out looked pretty good. Minimal redness, smaller pores, and very hydrated.

Despite the odds being against me, I was still happy with the line.

Week 3

Around the third week my skin started to relax again (thank God). I was no longer waking up with huge craters on my face and the existing spots were clearing up. My skin was actually looking really good now and things were looking up!

I had been using the Soft Focus Veil a couple times a week and my initial thoughts on it were that I did not like it. It seemed like an extra step that didn’t show results and I didn’t see myself reaching for it, ever. After trying it out in different ways, I can say my mind has been changed and I reach for it now then I thought I ever would!

During the month, I tried this product on its own, with a little bit of makeup but no foundation, and under a full face as a primer. I still didn’t like it on its own, but when I used it with some bronzer, concealer, and mascara, I loved it. It gave my skin a really nice hydrated, glowy look and my pores looked really small. It didn’t feel heavy like a foundation and it gave the appearance of smoother and more even-toned skin. I also liked it under foundation but only because it make my skin look smoother. I didn’t notice any difference in longevity, oil control, or coverage.

By this point, I was liking the eye masks a little less. They were leaving my under eyes feeling sticky and I am personally not a fan of heavy under eye products. I like to feel like my skin can breath so I typically reach for light feeling products.

Week 4

I had been using the products consistently for a month and I was loving the line. My skin usually has a terrible time going into the winter because it gets super dry and starts flaking. I almost always have to switch my moisturizers to try and help keep my skin feeling hydrated and looking good. NOT THIS YEAR! For the first time in a long time, I haven’t needed to switch anything in my skincare line to help adjust to the colder weather.

Even though my goal was to end with better skin to avoid needing too much makeup, I actually have been really enjoying wearing more makeup than usual because of how well my skin is doing.

The overall texture of my skin is way better, I have had next to no breakouts, the redness is minimal, and it looks/ feels hydrated.

End Results and Final Thoughts

Below are the before and after shots of my skin. I didn’t notice much of a difference until I saw these photos side by side!

Overall, I am so happy with this skincare line. These are not products that you will notice an immediate change from, however, if you give it time to work, results will come!

Out of the whole skincare line, I will definitely be repurchasing every product. I loved how great my skin felt all the time after using these items consistently. It’s incredible how big of a difference good skincare and a consistent routine can make to your skin.

I can’t say this is for everyone, but personally, I will be sticking with it for a while. I think I managed to hit pretty close to my goal of clearer, more even-toned skin. I am really happy with the end results and recommend that you at least give it a try for yourself to see if it’ll work for you, as well!
