My Favourite MAC Lipsticks For Fall

For as long as I can remember I have had a special place in my heart for MAC lipsticks. They’re kind of the OG’s in my mind. I’ve spent more than I’d like to admit on them but honestly, they are totally worth it.

One of the reasons I love fall so much, besides being a girl (sorry but we all know how much girls love fall), is the array of lipsticks which are on trend during the season. You’ve got nudes, browns, berries, dark colours, and reds. I really can’t think of another season that has that many colour choices!

So, naturally, with the colder weather and changing leaves upon us, I pulled out my top 4 MAC lipsticks for Fall this season.

MAC Velvet Teddy (Matte)

This one was huge back when Kylie Jenner started getting lip injections but claimed it was just over lining… As if we believed that one. I’m pretty sure everyone and their mother ran out to buy this colour because it was one of the colours she raved about. I will admit, it really is a great colour. It’s the perfect nude for the fall. It’s got a great neutral undertone to it, it’s slightly darker, and the matte finish makes it wearable on almost anyone.

MAC Verve (Satin)

MAC Verve is one of those colours which literally goes with anything. It’s a beautiful, deep brown with red undertones and is flattering on every skintone! It’s got a really nice satin finish and the colour can easily be changed depending on what lip liner you pair it with. If you wear it with a natural lip liner you’ll get the true colour but if you wear it with a Mahogany lip liner it’ll pull the red out more and look like a rich brick red colour. This is a great starter color for those looking to try out the darker lipsticks, but might be a little intimidated of the super dark colours.

MAC Plumful (Luster)

This lipstick is one of the most versitial ones in the list. Since is a luster finish, it has a more sheer application that you can work with. For just a pinch of color on your lips, you can dab little and blend it out with your finger or a brush. Or if you wanted a brighter, more opaque color you can throw on a matching ip liner underneath it! I’m a big fan of the luster finishes purely for the comfort of them. They’re creamy and moisturizing which makes them ideal for drier lips.

MAC Rebel (Satin)

In my collection of MAC lipsticks, Rebel is definitely one of the most unique colours. I tend to go for nude colours since they go with every look, however, every once in a while I like to venture out of my comfort zone and wear something different and Rebel is that colour. It’s a deep berry colour with a satin finish that is not a colour for the faint of heart. I would not recommend this colour for people who are looking to stay out of the center of attention. That being said, it’s a beautiful colour which everyone should wear out at least once. Full disclosure, this lipstick will stain your lips (learned this the hard way) so if you don’t want to have berry lips the next day be careful around this colour.
